Privacy Policy

Promptnest ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Promptnest, you agree to this policy.

What we collect

• Account data (Pro users only): email address and a unique user ID provided by Google when you sign in. We use this to identify you across devices and link your subscription.
• Prompt data: the prompts, titles, tags, folders you create. On the Free plan, this stays in your browser. On the Pro plan, it's stored securely in our database to enable cross-device sync.
• Usage events: non-identifying counts (e.g. "prompt inserted") to understand which features people use. We do NOT log the content of your prompts.
• Payment data: processed entirely by Polar.sh. We never see or store your credit card number.

What we do NOT do

• We do not read the content of your prompts.
• We do not use your prompts to train any AI model.
• We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
• We do not track your browsing across other websites.

How your data is stored

Cloud-stored prompts (Pro plan) live in a Supabase Postgres database with row-level security: only you can read or write your own prompts. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

Sharing prompts

If you choose to share a prompt via public link, that prompt becomes publicly readable to anyone with the link. You can delete a shared prompt at any time. You are responsible for what you choose to share.

Third-party services

• Supabase — authentication, database, and backend functions.
• Polar.sh — subscription billing.
• Google OAuth — sign-in (only used to verify your email).

Your rights

You can:

• Export all your prompts anytime from the Settings page.
• Delete your account (and all associated data) anytime by contacting support.
• Cancel your subscription anytime from your Polar account.

Data retention

Active accounts: we retain your data as long as your account exists. Deleted accounts: all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Children

Promptnest is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date and notify Pro users by email if changes are material.
